- The first column tells the swimmer the
fastest time they have achieved so far in an event.
- The second column
tells the swimmer that the time was achieved in a ‘yard’ or ‘meter’ pool.
- The
third column (sometimes it’s blank) notifies a swimmer if
their fastest time was achieved as the Leadoff leg of a relay.
- The
fourth column gives the fastest qualifying meet a swimmer can
attend for that event. All slower meets are also qualified for.
The order of the
four most commonly attended meets, slowest to fastest, is: Southeast
Champs (SE), Age Groups (AKAG), Jr. Olympics (JO) and Northwest
Age Groups (NWAG),
also called NW Sectionals.
- The next column merely tells the swimmer
if their time was achieved in a preliminary, finals, or time trial
setting (P, F, or T).
- The next two columns tell the distance
and the stroke for the event.
- The last two columns tell the swimmer
when and at what meet or trial the time was achieved.
- This report
tells this swimmer that she is able to go to SE Champs in 13 events,
as all the other qualifying times
are
faster than
a SE time. She
is also able to go to Northwest Age Groups in two events,
since that’s
the fastest qualifying time she has.
